Escondido, CA – Students in the Orange Glen Culinary program were treated to an interactive visit with celebrity Chef Marcela Valladolid on January 24.
A celebrity chef, best-selling author, television personality, and businesswoman, Valladolid launched her career editing for Bon Appetit Magazine, hosting her own shows (Mexican Made Easy and Relatos Con Sabor), and co-hosting the Emmy Nominated hit show The Kitchen on Food Network.

Escondido, CA – On Tuesday, January 24, 2023, by a unanimous vote, the Escondido Union High School District Governing Board appointed Ryan Williams as Board Member representing Trustee Area 4.

Escondido, CA – On Wednesday, March 1, 2023, the Escondido Union High School District, along with San Pasqual Union Elementary District, and the Escondido Union School District, signed the renewal of a Memorandum of Understanding with California State University San Marcos to continue the partnership for the development of the Putting Escondido on the Map (Alliance) program for an additional 5-year term.

Escondido, CA – Escondido High School is proud to announce the selection of new Head Football Coach, Stephen Dixon. Coach Dixon brings to EHS 12 years of coaching experience. Most recently Coach Dixon was the Defensive Coordinator at La Jolla High School (LJHS) where he helped the Vikings win two league titles and finished second in the Division 2 CIF Championship.

A classroom observation assignment at Valley High, the Escondido Union High School continuation school, led to substitute teaching of the responsibility training program (RTP) class, and close to two decades later, she hasn’t looked back once."

“Escondido, CA – San Pasqual High Counselor and Boys Soccer Coach John Burson has been named the 2021-22 San Diego Section representative for the National Federation of State High School Association (NFHS) California State Coach of the Year award. “

“Escondido, CA – Escondido Adult School (EAS) recently partnered with Escondido based Phlebotomy Training Academy to offer phlebotomy courses. In as little as three weeks students will be prepared to take the national phlebotomy exam to become a nationally certified phlebotomist. Through the partnership, Phlebotomy Training Academy provides all in-class instruction along with hands-on blood draw training. Escondido Adult School supports students by providing resume building assistance, preparing students for interviews, and finding them externships to obtain invaluable hands-on experience.”
