Escondido, CA – The Escondido Union High School District Governing Board recognized Orange Glen High School Skate Team on May 16, 2023, for taking 1st place overall at the 2nd Annual National Team Skateboard League (NTSL) San Diego County Competition by the Alternative Youth Athletics (AYA) Foundation.

Escondido, CA – The Escondido Union High School District (EUHSD) announced Orange Glen High School’s Special Education Teacher, Courtney Coffin, as the EUHSD Teacher of the Year and Escondido High School’s Secretary II, Rienda Lievanos, as the EUHSD Classified Employee of the Year. Teachers and classified employees were nominated by their colleagues at each of the school sites and the district office, then a panel comprised of staff voted on the district-wide Teacher of the Year and Classified Employee of the Year.

Throughout her tenure, Mrs. Funk has ensured students are provided with a high quality, engaging learning environment in which they are encouraged, inspired, and supported in their pursuit of college, career, and life readiness. Mrs. Funk has been an outstanding leader in the field of CTE locally, regionally, and state-wide for many years.
