Congratulations to Courtney Coffin, Orange Glen Teacher, for being named one of five San Diego County Teachers of the Year. The announcement was made as part of the 33rd annual "Cox Presents: Salute to Teachers," presented by San Diego County Credit Union in partnership with the San Diego County Office of Education (SDCOE). Mrs. Coffin advocates for equity and inclusion in her classroom, general educational setting, and beyond the school doors. She views each student as an individual, striving to find the best educational experience and support for them. She creates interactive class lessons adapted to each student's individual level to provide them opportunities to gain academic and functional life skills to best support their transition to adulthood. Courtney will continue to the next level by competing in the California Teacher of the Year program. The California Teachers of the Year will be announced in October.
