Questions about providing snacks and selling foods on campus? No food or snacks can be served or sold during the school day.
Escondido Union High School District is committed to creating healthier environments for students across all our school sites. Our school district has nutrition standards for all snacks provided to students provided during the school day in accordance with our District Wellness Policy, and USDA guidelines

The Smart Snacks in Schools regulations apply to all food and/or beverages served or sold to students during the day, by any entity, including teachers, parent/student organizations, ASB, boosters, fundraisers, or the Student Nutrition Department. These standards for snacks are effective from midnight to 30 minutes after the end of the school day. These standards are in accordance with the Healthy Hunger-Free Kids Act, the USDA and CDE, and our district Wellness Policy

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
Question: I want to have a party for my class and provide lunch. What can I serve?
Answer: Our Nutrition Services team can make the meal compliant at no cost to you. You can order some special pizza, or a food entrée on our menu. We'll provide the milk, fruit and veggies.

Question: Can I order some ice cream or a dessert for some students?
