During the holidays.

Recently San Pasqual High School welcomed 8th grade students on campus. They were treated to a tour led by AVID and ASB students, had an opportunity to ask questions, and enjoyed a chocolate chip cookie freshly made by culinary students.

Escondido Adult School Principal Thomas Allison was the recipient of the California Council for Adult Education Southern Section Devotion to Service Award.

Five Escondido High School graduates won the American FFA Degree from the National FFA Organization and were honored at the National Convention and Expo held in Indianapolis this month. The American FFA Degree is the highest degree achievable and therefore the highest honor awarded to FFA members who have demonstrated the highest level of commitment to FFA and made significant accomplishments in their supervised agricultural experience. Congratulations to Sidney Blaze, Allison Cave, Rome De Julio, Eryn Hoeffliger, and Alyssa Partner.

Officers from Del Lago Academy DECA presented to the Escondido After 5 Rotary Club this week. The students shared about their club and what they do to 30 local professionals. DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers.

Thank you to all who joined Valley High School for Family Night. Families had the opportunity to get to know staff, visit resource tables, and see student artwork and science projects.

Recently, students from Del Lago Academy, Escondido High School, Orange Glen High School, and San Pasqual High School were part of A Step Beyond's (ASB) El Alebrije Ballet performance at the California Center for the Arts.

Students from San Pasqual High School students returned to Kit Carson Park as part of their semester Ecology Project. They explored the park to study, as well as find examples of, habitat degradation and human impact.

Students from Orange Glen High School visited ARCH Medical Solutions, a medical manufacturing facility.

Students at Del Lago Academy recently participated in the first annual DLA DECA Inter-District Mini-Conference. They had marketing mock-interviews and tested their marketing knowledge
